Katey and Brendan’s wedding at The Cummer Museum was a celebration of modern elegance and effortless fun, set against the breathtaking backdrop of the St. Johns River. This black-and-white affair was anything but traditional—infused with personal details, elevated design, and an unforgettable energy from start to finish.

Guests were greeted with champagne and mini popcorn cones, setting the tone for an experience both chic and playful. The ceremony took place along the waterfront, framed by minimalist clusters of white blooms designed by Got Flowers Jax, and accompanied by live piano music from Louis B. Middleton.

Katey stunned in a floral-embossed Amsale gown, carrying a cascading orchid bouquet that mirrored the modern aesthetic. Her look was the perfect complement to the clean lines and soft textures woven throughout the day’s design.

Behind the scenes, Terri and the G.G. Events team worked closely with the couple and their vendor team to ensure everything ran flawlessly. From managing vendor arrivals and confirming timing to smoothing over last-minute adjustments, we made sure Katey and Brendan could stay present, relaxed, and fully enjoy their day without distraction.

The reception design was bold, modern, and full of personality. Sleek black chiavari chairs and crisp white linens created a clean foundation, while low, minimalist centerpieces in white hues were accented with contemporary black table lamps. One of the most captivating details? The floating floral installations suspended above the tables—cloudlike clusters that gave the room an ethereal, high-design feel and wowed every guest who entered.

GHQ Lighting elevated the ambiance even further with hanging disco balls that cast a subtle sparkle across the room. The couple’s custom disco ball photo wall, illuminated with their last name in neon, made the perfect backdrop for portraits and party shots.

From the multi-course plated dinner by Chef's Garden to the high-energy performance by Bold City Classics, the evening flowed seamlessly. After dinner, Katey changed into her second look, and the party hit a new level. Her energy on the dance floor—complete with oversized heart-shaped sunglasses—was magnetic.

Additional standout moments included the strolling oyster shucker during cocktail hour and the thoughtful hospitality touches that made every guest feel cared for.

This wedding was the perfect reflection of Katey and Brendan: modern, joyful, stylish, and completely unforgettable.
