Top 5 Wedding Venues in Jacksonville, FL/ G.G. Events

The bold new city of the south offers some pretty versatile options when it to comes to wedding venue locations. Since Jacksonville is the largest city in the U.S. we know that means lots of options of where you could have your wedding. However, finding a venue that matches your style can be a challenge with so many choices. To help we have made a short list of our top 5 venues and why we think you should check them out.

1) The Cummer Museum of Art and Gardens

The Cummer Museum is by far my top pick of any venue in Jacksonville. I love the versatility of the gallery space. I can always check off three major wants for our clients with The Cummer: Beautiful outdoor ceremony space, waterfront and can hold 150-200 inside for a reception. Every wedding I have done at The Cummer is always unique thanks to an all-white gallery space that we can transform into anything we can imagine. Plus, if the weather is really nice you can do dinner inside the gallery and then head back in the gardens to dance under the stars and next to the St. Johns River.

2) Epping Forest Yacht Club

Epping is everything you could want in a wedding venue- Top notch service, waterfront location, English gardens and a historic clubhouse. You can do an indoor or outdoor ceremony and reception option. Plus, the food is fantastic!! (Seriously, I dream about their Lobster Bisque).

3) The River Club

The River Club is one of the best Urban options available in Jacksonville. With views of the St. Johns River and multiple room options The River Club can meet many different needs. They can also hold up to 350 guests in their combined ballrooms. Do not let the basic club feel fool you, this venue with right designer and planner can make for a unique and show-stopping event space. I am mean just look at that view alone.

4) The Main Library Downtown

I am a lover of books, so the Main Library holds a special place in my heart. If you want a unique experience for your guest the Library is a great place to check out. With indoor and outdoor options available you can build a ceremony and reception space that has a great flow to it.  With being located in the urban core of Jacksonville you also have a nice selection of hotels close by. Can you imagine all the cool ways you can add personality to your wedding by using your favorite book as inspiration?

5) The Garden Club

A southern classic style venue along the beautiful St. John's River. The best part about the Garden Club is their huge ballroom. It gives you the potential to really make space work for you. If you are a fan of natural light you will love this space as it has huge windows all down the sides that let in a ton of light. They can also hold up to 350 guests in their main ballroom. Your guest can then enjoy a ceremony and/or cocktail hour strolling around the garden fountain and near the river.
